The Rosetta Stone Experiment
Hypothesis: Same algorithm in different languages has same spectral signature.
Test Case
TodoMVC implemented in React, Vue, and Svelte.
Results
| Comparison | Eigenvalue Correlation |
|---|---|
| React vs Vue | 97.87% |
| React vs Svelte | 98.68% |
| Vue vs Svelte | 97.11% |
| Average | 97.89% |
What Makes This Surprising
These implementations differ completely:
- Languages: JSX vs templates vs compiled Svelte
- Architectures: hooks vs reactivity vs stores
- Graph sizes: 405 vs 439 vs 118 nodes
Yet spectral signatures are nearly identical.
Interpretation
The eigenvalue spectrum captures the what-it-does independent of the how-it's-written.
Semantic structure exists in a higher-dimensional space that transcends syntax. The spectrum is a "fingerprint" of computational intent.
